Shamsideen Omotayo, an official of the Ikeja local government in Lagos state, has been kidnapped.
Quoting sources, NAN said Omotayo, a clerk in the council, was abducted on Agbowa-Imota road, near Ikorodu, on Wednesday.
Afolabi Olawale, head, public affairs of Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), who confirmed the kidnap, said the abductors have contacted the council, demanding a ransom of N20 million.
“Mr Omotayo was abducted at Imota on his way to work this morning,” he said.

“The kidnappers have contacted the Head of administration of the council, Mrs Mosunmola Otaiku-Okoka and demanded for N20 million ransom,’’ the LNSC official said.
Olarinde Famous-Cole, spokesman of the Lagos state police command, said the incident was reported to police in the area.
He added that investigation was ongoing on the matter.
