Ikechi Emenike, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia, says he will “emancipate the state from economic stagnation” if elected.
Emenike said this on Wednesday at the inauguration of his 1,740-member campaign council.
The APC governorship candidate said the condition of the economy of the state needs urgent liberation and resuscitation.
Emenike added that if voted, he would “revolutionalise” Abia’s economy by creating jobs and attracting foreign investments to the state.

He called on residents of the state to support him in the efforts to liberate the state from “anti-democratic forces holding it down”, adding that if Abia fails to get it right in 2023, more people will face “severe hardship:.
Emenike described members of the campaign council as the “ambassadors of APC in all the polling units of Abia”.
He charged them to spare no efforts in ensuring that APC is victorious in the 2023 elections.

Emenike, who blamed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the “economic woes and underdevelopment” in the state, urged members of the campaign council to ensure that the APC is victorious in the forthcoming elections.
In her remarks, Gloria Akara, Abia deputy governorship candidate, urged members of the campaign council to remain steadfast and ensure that APC wins.
“We are ready. The rescue and develop Abia (RADA) movement is not designed to stop. We’re going to continue until victory is assured,” Akara said.
