Toyin Saraki, the wife of the senate president, says she is ready to assist the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in “any lawful enquiries” that they have.
In a statement issued on Wednesday evening by Akeem Olagoke, her private secretary, the former first lady of Kwara state acknowledged an invitation from the EFCC but said no reason was stated in the letter.
Olagoke wrote: “Her Excellency, Mrs Toyin Saraki, Founder of Wellbeing Foundation Africa and wife of the Senate President has been informed by her office that a letter of invitation was delivered to her office, by and from the EFCC.
“As Mrs Saraki has no idea what this invitation could pertain to, she has directed an immediate and formal response, to the EFCC, that she will be delighted to assist them with any lawful enquiries they may have, as a law abiding, transparent and accountable private citizen.

“Mrs Saraki has thus confirmed an appointment date to honour this invitation, at the earliest mutually agreed convenience.”
Bukola Saraki, the husband, was controversially elected the senate president on June 8 against the wishes of President Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos state.
Buhari is currently not on speaking terms with Saraki.

Go ahead and answer them. Nothing hidden shall not be revealed. They pockct the kwarans in their family palace, took all our hard earned sweet in SGB and now dubiously want to take hallow chambers. Nigeria is bigger than any family. Those who live in glass house should not throw stones.
