I’m sure Obama had a terrible night, says Republican lawmaker

Chris Collins, a Republican congressman from New York, says he is so sure that President Barack Obama must have had a terrible night.

Speaking when he appeared on CNN, Collins said the election reflected the mood of the country.

The lawmaker expressed delight that his party retained control of congress, and expressed thanks to Americans for standing by Republicans.

“I am sure President Obama had a terrible night. He obviously didn’t see this coming,” he said.

“The election shows the mood of the country. It shows how the people feel… I am happy that we were able to lock down congress.”

Collins also assured Americans that they had nothing to worry about.

Describing Obamacare, the healthcare policy of the outgoing president, as falling short of expectation, he said there were adequate plans to repeal it in the first 100 days of the administration of Donald Trump.
