The Imo house of assembly has screened and confirmed two commissioner nominees recommended by Hope Uzodinma, governor of the state.

NAN reports that the two nominees are Jerry Egemba from Ehime Mbano LGA and Ignatius Nwabueze from Oru West.

The governor had earlier sent the names of 21 commissioner nominees, who were also screened and confirmed by the assembly, two weeks ago.

The motion to confirm the nominees was moved by Kanayo Onyemaechi, majority leader of the assembly, and was seconded by Clinton Amadi, a member representing Owerri municipality.
