INEC fixes Sept, Nov for Edo, Ondo guber elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the timetable and schedule of activities for the governorship elections in Edo and Ondo states.

According to the timetable, the election will hold in Edo on September 10 and November 26 in Ondo.

The commission said political parties in Edo can commence campaigns from June 12, while July 2 to July 4, has been set aside for the conduct of party primaries, including resolution of disputes arising from the primaries.

Similarly, INEC has scheduled August 28 for commencement of campaign by political parties in the Ondo governorship election.

The commission fixed August 22 to August 26 for collection of forms by political parties at its headquarters, while conduct of party primaries, including resolution of disputes arising from the primaries will hold between September 18 and 19.
