The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that Sunday’s elections will hold in 300 polling stations where hitches were recorded across the country.
Addressing reporters in Abuja on Saturday, Kayode Idowu, spokesman of the commission, gave the breakdown of the hitches.
“There were 109 polling stations where cards were not read at all and another 100 stations where there were issues with biometric data.”
Different technical challenges affected the parliamentary and presidential election of Saturday, leading to complaints on the part of many voters.

Even President Goodluck Jonathan had his own share of the difficulty, as the four card readers failed to clear him at his polling unit in Bayelsa.
Maintaining its committment to ensuring credible poll, the electoral body promised to investigate the cause of widespread challenges.
“INEC has been monitoring field reports on the accreditation process since commencement this morning,” Chris Iyimoga, INEC’s chairman of information, voter education and publicity committee, said
