The office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Dekina, the local government of Governor Idris Wada, was burnt on Friday morning.
The office was set ablaze by some youths, who invaded the community.
The supplementary polls scheduled for Saturday December 5, is expected to be decided in Dekina, where 17,454 votes were cancelled.
Of the 91 polling units scheduled to have the supplementary elections on Saturday, 29 are in Dekina local government – one of the few local government areas won by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the initial exercise on November 22.

In Dekina, PDP’s Wada polled 21,602 while Abubakar Audu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), garnered 20,994 before his death.
Of the 141,963 people registered to vote two weeks ago, only 52,344 turned out for accreditation to vote.
The 17,454 votes cancelled by INEC in the election were due to violence and over-voting in the region.
