Investors on the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday staked N8.08 billion on 1.079 billion shares in 4,894 deals.
The volume of transactions represented 293.79% increase over the 274.021 million shares worth N4.74 billion traded in 4,567 deals on Monday.
Skye Bank emerged the most traded stock, accounting for 614.32 million shares valued at N1.48 billion in 167 deals.
Zenith Bank came second with 51.61 million shares worth N1.27 billion exchanged in 305 deals, while Chams accounted for 50.89 million shares valued at N25.45 million in 76 deals.

Transcorp sold 46.32 million shares worth N268.52 million in 299 deals, while GTBank traded 32.83 million shares valued at N978.39 million in 368 deals.
The NSE All-Share Index appreciated by 104.72 points or 0.26 per cent to close at 41,210.10 against the 41,105.38 achieved on Monday.
Market capitalisation rose by N35 billion or 0.26 per cent to close at N13.607 trillion from the N13.572 trillion posted on Monday.

Guinness recorded the highest price gain of N15.48 to close at N214.98 per share.
It was followed by PZ Cussons which gained N2.01 to close at N35, while Stanbic IBTC Bank appreciated by N1.60 to close at N33.60 per share.
UAC-Property chalked up N1.32 to close at N15.85, while Oando Oil was up by N1.22 to close at N26.28 per share.
However, Seplat topped the losers’ table with a loss of N22 to close at N645 per share.

Nestle trailed with a loss of N10 to close at N1, 090, while Lafarge Wapco dropped N1.89 to close at N126.76 per share.
Glaxosmith depreciated by N1.39 to close at N62.61, while Nigerian Breweries dipped by N1.26 to close at N176 per share.
