Dapo Oyebanjo, ace music act and former vice president of Mohit records, popularly known as D’banj, paid a courtesy visit to the police headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
His visit to the police raised questions as to his status, to be or not to be the next Nigeria Police ambassador after Mavin act, Korede Bello.
A few weeks ago, Bello was signed as police youth ambassador, to promote the force as a friend of the Nigerian people.
After the visit, D’banj, who is currently in Abuja for the Glo CAF awards for the best footballers on the continent, took to his social media account to share a picture of himself and Solomon Arase, the inspector general of police.

“#InspectorGeneralOfPolice #SolomonArase #PoliceIsMyFriend #PoliceIsYourFriend…,” D’banj wrote on Instagram, not stating the purpose of the visit.
However, the police confirmed that Oyebanjo was paying a courtesy visit to the force headquarters in Abuja.
D’banj is known for his business and entertainment acumen, celebrating his 10th year on the Nigerian music scene in 2015 with a global and national tour.
