Islamic States of Syrian and the Levant (ISIS/ISIL) has burnt captured Jordanian pilot, Moaz al-Kasasbeh, alive.
In a 22-minute video published online, al-Kasasbeh was shown standing in a cage with wet clothing after he had been apparently beaten and bruised before being lit up to be burnt alive.
Moaz al-Kasasbeh was captured in December when his plane came down near Raqqa, Syria, while on a mission to support the US-led military coalition against ISIS.
Some days back, ISIS requested a $200m ransom for the deceased and Japanese journalist Kenji Goto.

After a foiled negotiation attempt, the Islamic sect requested for a prisoner swap, which could not be achieved before Goto was beheaded leaving Japan in grief.
Less than 72 hours after the beheading of Goto, the terrorist group took its brutality to another level by burning the Jordanian pilot alive.
Jordan had earlier agreed to free Sajida al-Rishawi, an al-Qaeda prisoner on death row in Jordan for her role in hotel bombings in Amman in 2005, in a bid to recover Kasasbeh.

The Jordanian government transferred five ISIS prisoners to another facility a few minutes after the video was released and disclosed that all of them, including al-Rishawi, will be executed within few hours.
President Barack Obama of the United States has condemned the act describing it as an “indication of the viciousness and barbarity” of ISIS.
“I think it will redouble the vigilance and determination of the part of the global coalition to make sure they are degraded and ultimately defeated,” he said.

Jordanian king Abdullah, who is currently in the US, has said that he will cut short his trip and return home immediately to deal with the issue.
