The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced that it is “expanding ground operations” in the Gaza Strip.
The announcement comes as a large series of explosions rocked Gaza City on Friday night.
Multiple residents of Gaza told CNN that the airstrikes were the most intense they have experienced since the beginning of hostilities nearly three weeks ago.
