Kelechi Iheanacho, Super Eagles striker, says Leicester City’s 2-1 loss to Everton in the English Premier League (EPL) was very painful.
The former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles forward provided an assist in the Foxes’ defeat to the Toffees on Saturday.
A red card issued to Wes Morgan in the 63rd minute complicated matters for Leicester in the explosive game that had Wilfred Ndidi in action.
Speaking with TheCable on Sunday, Iheanacho said: “We played very well after going one goal down early in the match. It was very painful to have lost at the end of proceedings.

“The momentum was well controlled by us and we equalised before half time.
“We were hoping to hit them after the break but the red card complicated issues.”
The former Manchester City attacker also commented on Morgan’s record.

“I really feel for Morgan after the red card. He is a leader in Leicester City. That’s football, he shouldn’t allow it weigh him down,” he noted.
On his assist, Iheanacho said: “My duty is to always help my team to be successful. The general success of the team is more important.”
