‘It’s denigrating’ — outrage trails road named after Seyi Tinubu in Sokoto

A road named after Seyi, son of President Bola Tinubu, in Sokoto, has triggered a wave of negative reactions on social media.

A photo of the road was shared on X on Saturday by Abdul-Aziz Na’ibi Abubakar, a youth member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

“Sokoto state governor is a big clown.,” Abubakar had captioned the photo.

Although it remains to be known if the directive to rename the road was from Ahmad Aliyu, Sokoto state governor, the development has provoked a chorus of condemnation on X.
