Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has added Alex Iwobi to the list of invited players for October friendly internationals against DR Congo and Cameroon in Belgium.
The Arsenal starlet, who trained with the Nigeria U-23 squad ahead of an All-Africa Games qualifying return leg game early March, is eligible to represent Nigeria despite featuring for England at youth level.
The world football governing body, FIFA, have clarified that the 19-year-old can now play for Nigeria as he did not feature for England in an official game.
Iwobi played seven matches for England at youth level, none of which was an official game and FIFA underscored that the player can play for the Super Eagles since he has permanent Nigerian citizenship and did not represent another association (country) in a match in an official competition.
