Iwobi, Moffi return as Peseiro names squad for Saudi, Mozambique friendlies

Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Super Eagles, has named his 23-player squad for this month’s international friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique in Portugal.

The list was unveiled in a statement released by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Monday.

The list includes new invitee, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, while the quartet of Kenneth Omeruo, Bright Osayi-Samuel Alex Iwobi and Terem Moffi were also recalled

The squad’s attack strength is bolstered by Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman and Taiwo Awoniyi.

The Eagles will face the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia in Portimão, Portugal, on October 13.

Nigeria will then take on the Mambas of Mozambique in the same city three days later.

The players are expected to arrive in Faro, Portugal on October 10.

The friendly games are aimed at preparing the Eagles ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches billed to commence in November.
