Alex Iwobi, Super Eagles forward, says his first senior competitive goal was against Everton, but he aims to score more goals for the Marco Silva-managed — not against them.
Iwobi, who made his debut appearance for the Toffees in a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa on Friday in an interview with Everton TV said his aim is to make a significant contribution to the English Premier League side in the final third.
The 23-year-old who came on to replace Gyfil Sigurdsson in the 61st minute was denied his debut goal for the Silva-tutored side by the woodwork.
While hailing the Portuguese gaffer for his work ethics, Iwobi believes he will score more goals and give lots of assists to the team in the final third.

“He’ll keep on helping me and improving me as a player,” Iwobi told Everton TV.
“The manager demands a lot and he always reminds me in training of what I need to do.

“Before I came on, the manager said he wanted me to try to add some creativity.

“I felt sharp. And when I struck that ball [that hit the post], I thought it had gone in.
“It’s my aim to try to get more goals and assists.
“I have been working on that in training with the manager and the players, so hopefully I’ll be able to help my team get more goals.”
Alex Iwobi completed a post-deadline deal for a five-year contract on August 8, 2019.
