Iwobi ‘partied’ a day before playing in Arsenal’s shocking FA Cup exit

Super Eagles striker Alex Iwobi reportedly partied into the early hours of Saturday, a day before Arsenal’s shocking FA Cup defeat by Nottingham Forest.

According to The Sun UK, the 21-year-old forward was filmed dancing with friends at a rented Airbnb in Soho, Central London.

The video was uploaded to Snapchat and it was captioned “Shouldn’t Iwobi be sleeping?”.

According to the report, the video shows the player singing among a group of people.

Neighbours were said to have complained about the noise from the party which did not stop until 3.30am.

“They were keeping everyone in the building awake,” a neighbour told The Sun.

“I was woken at 1am by chanting and singing and went to complain.

“There were laughing gas canisters all over the place and a strong smell of weed.

“They claimed they hadn’t been allowed into a club and that’s why they rented the flat.”

Iwobi played the full 90 minutes on Sunday afternoon as the Gunners lost the third-round tie 4-2 to Nottingham Forest.

Arsene Wenger said it “hurt very much” to watch his team lose to the Championship side who were “sharper” and “outstanding”.

It was Wenger’s first third-round defeat since he took over as Arsenal’s manager in 1996.
