Alex Iwobi has had Nigerians celebrating since he scored the vital goal that helped the Super Eagles defeat a difficult Zambia on Saturday.
Owing to his goal, Nigeria qualified for the World Cup, and Iwobi has been on the receiving end of encomiums by all and sundry.
The latest praise of his performance is from his father Chuka Iwobi.
Iwobi senior wrote on his Facebook page: “So proud of you as a Father- I am honoured that you played a part in our qualification to the World Cup in Russia.”

Iwobi’s first ever goal at international level was also against the Chipolopolo, in March 2017. The teenage sensation has 11 caps for Nigeria.
Meanwhile, business mogul, Kensington Adebutu, has rewarded the Super Eagles with the sum of N50 million.
Adebutu announced this after the three-time African champions became the first African country to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

He praised the Super Eagles for their determination, professionalism and commitment throughout the qualifying campaign and urged the team not to rest on its oars, but to adequately prepare for the World Cup in Russia.
