Esperance Sportive De Tunis have confirmed the signing of Anayo Iwuala from Enyimba FC.

The 22-year-old winger penned a three-year deal reportedly worth $500,000 with the Tunisian club. He is also expected to earn about $10,000 weekly.

Esperance announced the transfer on its verified Twitter page on Monday.

“It’s done for Emmanuel Anayo Iwuala. He is now [Blood and Gold] until June 2024. Welcome!” the tweet read, accompanied by a picture of the player posed in the club’s jersey.

The Lagos-born star was one of the best players in the just-concluded Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

His exemplary showing with The People’s Elephants in the league and on the continent earned him a call-up to the Super Eagles team in March, making his debut as a substitute in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.

He featured in the double-header international friendly against Cameroon in June.

Anayo also led the home-based Super Eagles out in the friendly against Mexico last month.

The winger kicked off his professional career in 2018 at Kada City before joining Delta Force. He was thereafter snatched by Enyimba.
