Music star Iyanya and comedian Wale Gates are emphatically against the rivalry between young music stars, Wizkid and Davido, which has been evident in their social media posts.
Aye crooner, Davido, who has received several awards this year and Top Your Matter singer, Wizkid, have been subtly directing hate messages at each other on their Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Some of their fans have even been encouraging the subtle fight by professing their allegiance to either of the young stars. The belief of Davido‘s fans is that Wizkid is envious of the fast-rising star and his many awards this year, while he is yet to release his much-awaited new album.
Iyanya took to Instagram to send a message to the warring artistes, saying: “Stop talking!!! Let’s release more MUSIC!!! Let’s entertain our fans!!! Stop the hate!!! My prayer is that we ALL make it.”

Comedian Wale gates also took to Twitter to pass outa word of advice against unhealthy competition in a couple of tweets, where he stated his reason for advocating peace.
“Been around long enough to know it is pointless, an unnecessary distraction, and a waste of talent,” he wrote in one of the tweets.
“Only the media gains — not even your fans.”
