Jibrin Abdulmumin, former chairman of the house of representatives committee, says he is confident that Yakubu Dogara, speaker of the house, will be arrested.
Jibrin has been engaged in a war of words with the speaker whom he had accused alongside some principal officers of an attempt to illegally add N40 billion to the 2016 budget.
Dogara and other officials Jibrin mentioned have denied the allegations, with the speaker giving his former ally an ultimatum of seven days to tender an apology or risk legal action.
Jibrin, who said he would not apologise, raised the alarm that the speaker was using security agents to intimidate and harass him.

On Saturday, he took to Twitter to give updates on the development.
Jibrin said apart from Dogara, eight members of the house were included in a petition he sent to anti-graft agencies.
He gave their names as: Herman Hembe, Zakari Mohammed, Chike Okafor, and Dan Asuquo.
