Jigawa judicial service commission appoints 19 sharia court judges

The Jigawa state Judicial Service Commission (JSC) says it has approved the appointment of 19 new sharia court judges.

Abbas Wangara, the commission’s director of protocol and publicity, said this in a statement on Saturday.

Wangara also said the commission promoted 157 staff members.

The statement also announced the appointment of Nazir Habu as acting director of finance and supply of the high court of justice after the retirement of the former director who attained 35 years in service.
