Baring any last minute change in plans, President Goodluck Jonathan will visit Damaturu, capital of Yobe state, on Thursday.
A source told TheCable that the president would be going there to seek support for his re-election bid, which will be decided on March 28.
Yobe is the only state that Jonathan has not visited since he flagged off his current electioneering campaign.
An earlier rally scheduled for February 2 was cancelled over fears of insecurity.

The advanced team of Jonathan delegation had already arrived in Damaturu for the event before they were informed that it had been shelved.
Yobe, which shares border with Borno, is one of the states worst affected by the insurgency in the northeast.

Your comment.. Mr President to my State! Every corner was assigned a well equipt security (ready to shoot any suspicion person)! The security that wasn’t provided to 1,411,481 people is here by due to the ‘PDP dynasty’! Very exasperating. What is he coming for sef? Our votes? We have given it to GMB already, and its of our culture not taking back what we have given! We were left with the PVCs of the death among us, PVCs of the school boys killed, the PVCs of the kidnapped, the PVCs of the displaced, the PVCs that belongs to the victims of the hood-lum! Its up to you, if you wish to go along with it, and the hideous part of this campaign is that, you may address your convoy soldiers, we decided to remain at home, no light don’t think we are watching you on TV! Hence, I declared 24hrs curfew to my self! You may label this post as a flippant comment, do I care? I don’t! # indoorsmode
