Jonathan’s ex-ADC regains freedom… at last

Ojugbane Adegbe, former aide-de-camp (ADC) to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has been released from custody.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested him on February 11 and Adegbe was transferred to the custody of the Nigerian army last week.

Ogwu Onoja, Adegbe’s counsel, confirmed Adegbe’s release on Friday, saying the army colonel was freed in the afternoon.

The anti-graft agency questioned Adegbe over the role he allegedly played in the distribution of N10 billion to delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

On Tuesday, Yusuf Halilu, a justice of the federal high court, Abuja, ordered that Adegbe be “released immediately”.

The judge said he should be freed on bail on liberal terms pending his arraignment in court for any offence.

  1. My brother you are a true loyal and committed officer and gentleman. I never knew there were soldiers of your stock still the Nigerian army. It was a shame to hear one of your senior officers talking like a parrot. May God continue to guide and guard you in your ways
