A suicide-bomber killed three on Saturday night outside a football viewing centre in Jos, Plateau State, where the European Champions League final was being screened.
The blast occurred around 9.30pm along Bauchi road, which is also close to Bauchi motor park.
Although police put the official casualty figure at three, including the suicide bomber, witnesses said eight persons were killed.
Police had said a twin bomb attack in the same city on Tuesday killed at least 75 (pictured), but the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) put the figure at 118.

A Jos resident told TheCable on Saturday: “We cannot go to the scene now because everybody is afraid. It is too dark and at the same time we don’t know how many attacks they are planning.”
Boko Haram remains the prime suspect because of previous attacks on viewing centres, drinking joints and other places with large crowds.
Plateau State commissioner of police Chris Olakpe said the bomb went off prematurely.

“He died in the wake of the heinous crime. It exploded before the viewing centre because of pressure from local youths and the alertness of the local people,” Olakpe told AFP.

Security agents should be positioned at every junction, parks’ gates and gatherings with detectors or scanners to sort out armed vehicles. Some armed securities should be on the walk (on keep-moving order) This shall reduce these sucide bombing to a bearest minimum.
@ Harry. How many security operatives do we have. With what you have suggested, we will need over a million police men over LG

I am going to send this article to him. Fairly certain he’s going to have a great read.
