Theophilus Onojeghen, managing editor of Niger Delta Today (NDT), an online news medium, has recovered from COVID-19.
Onojeghen was confirmed positive on June 26 and moved to an isolation centre in Delta state.
However, in a statement issued by the NDT management on Thursday, the managing editor has now been discharged from the isolation centre after repeated tests confirmed him negative for the virus.

“To reiterate our earlier containment advocacy, COVID-19 is real. The clear proof of the reality of this pandemic is the ordeal our Editor had with this deadly and virulent illness.”
NDT urged the general public to adhere to the guidelines for preventing the spread of the virus, and also expressed gratitude to the state government, frontline health workers, Emmanuel Uduaghan, former governor of Delta, among others, for their efforts.
