Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim will host the 2015 edition of the Glo-CAF Awards alongside Robert Marawa of Supersport, on January 7, 2016, in Abuja.
Nine years ago, Ibrahim was just an usher at the 2007 Glo-CAF awards that held in Ghana; five years later, a guest in the 2012 and 2014 editions, sitting in the crowd while Dumas graced the stage.
A year since then, the divorced mother of one will now mount the stage where she had looked on to, addressing the crowd and announcing winners of Africa’s most prestigious football awards event.
Ibrahim’s rise from one whose job is to direct guests and dignitaries to their tables, to one who would now call out the winners is one that breeds familiarity in a peculiar terrain; an ambition secretly nursed from a vague vantage point.
