Adamawa PDP rep defects to APC

Adamu Kamale, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Kamale, who hails from Adamawa state, defected to the APC on Tuesday morning.

His defection was announced in a letter read on the floor of the house by Yakubu Dogara, the speaker.
Kamale cited divisions in the PDP as his reason for leaving the party
But Yakubu Barde, the minority whip – who is also a PDP lawmaker – said there was no division in the party
Kamale was the only PDP member of the house from the state.
PDP has lost many of its members to the ruling APC.
Only last week, a member of the PDP from Plateau state – Edward Pwajock – defected to the APC.
On Saturday, Edem Duke, a former minister of tourism and culture, also defected to the ruling party.
