President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Bisi Akande, former interim chairman of the ruling party.
The president hosted the duo three weeks ago.
Both men, who have a large following in the south-west, were instrumental to the emergence of Buhari in 2015, as the president secured enough votes in the region which was a stumbling block in his previous attempts.
The meeting comes one week after the president appointed Tinubu to reconcile aggrieved members of the APC.
