Abdullahi Adamu, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is currently meeting with some governors elected on the platform of the party.
The main agenda of the meeting is believed to be the composition of the presidential campaign council.
Adams Oshiomhole, a former APC chairman, and members of the party’s national working committee (NWC) are in attendance at the meeting which is taking place in Abuja.
The APC governors are said to be displeased over the exclusion of their nominees from the campaign council.

The 422-member list was released to mixed reactions last week.
Some of the governors reportedly threatened to pull out of the campaign if their demands were not granted.
James Faleke, secretary of the campaign council, has since made an attempt to pacify them.

“The Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress hereby clarifies that the list of members of the campaign council released at the weekend, is a partial list,” he had said.
“It contains only the directors, deputy directors, secretaries of directorates and key stakeholders.
The council also assures our esteemed governors that the secretariat of the council has not jettisoned the names submitted by them.
“Some of the nominees of our governors have emerged as part of the leadership, while others will soon emerge as members of the various directorates.”
