Lucky Aiyedatiwa takes his oath of office as governor of Ondo state
Lucky Aiyedatiwa has been sworn in as the governor of Ondo state.
Aiyedatiwa took the oath of office at the Ondo state sports complex in Akure, the state capital, on Monday.
Aiyedatiwa, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), won the Ondo state governorship election on November 17, 2024.
He polled 366,781 votes to defeat his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 117,845 votes.

Nejo Adeyemi, candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), came a distant third with 4,138 votes.
Aiyedatiwa, formerly the deputy governor, was first sworn in as Ondo state governor on December 23, 2023, following the death of his predecessor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
