A building on Kakawa street in Lagos Island, has collapsed, bringing to three the total number of building which has collapsed in the local government in the last two weeks.
On March 13, a three-storey building collapsed in the Ita-Faaji area of Lagos Island, killing 20 persons, including children.
Five days later, another building caved in at Egerton Square, Oke-Arin, still in Lagos Island.
Sola Giwa, member representing Lagos Island constituency II at the Lagos state house of assembly, confirmed the latest incident, saying there was no casualty.

“I am presently at the scene of another building collapsed this afternoon at 50b Kakawa street lagos island.
Thank God there was no casualty. The house itself had been earmarked for demilition. Government will do all within the law to forestall these ugly situation
