Avengers bomb three oil pipelines in Bayelsa, Rivers

Militant group Niger Delta Avengers says it has blown up oil pipelines in Bayelsa and Rivers states.

The Avengers announced on its website that the fresh attacks were carried out between 3am and 5am on Friday, July 8.

“At about the (hour) of 3am to 5am the Niger Delta Avengers blow up Nembe 1, 2, and 3 trunk-line in Bayelsa/River States.”

“We still using this medium to warn the general public of impostors Facebook accounts. Niger Delta Avenger is not in Social network anymore”, Mudoch Agbinibo, spokesman of the group, said.

The Nigeria security and civil defence corps (NSCDC) confirmed one of the attacks, saying suspected militants attacked an oil pipeline belonging to Agip, a Nigerian oil company, in Rivers state.

Desmond Agwu, spokesperson of the corps, said the attack took place at Lasukugbene.

Agwu further disclosed that officials of the NSCDC engaged the militants in a gun battle after the attack on the oil installation.

I knew it was a mistake for Pmb to use re conciliatory note to address this criminals by begging them to stop the bombing; now for all apologist criticizing pmb tough military tactics, you see appeasement don’t work with this criminals who wants to be billionaires overnight cause the bombing continued & new militant group springs up everyday; what irk me most is wheres our intelligent agencies; can’t they get Intel on this criminals; what about our military can’t they protect the pipelines cause this criminals bomb at will
