Christian Eriksen, Denmark midfielder, slumped during his country’s game against Finland at the European Championship on Saturday.
The Inter Milan midfielder collapsed after receiving a throw-in from one of his teammates in the first half.
The incident brought the game to a temporary halt as medics rushed to resuscitate the Danish captain.
The Group B match was goalless until the incident.

The 16,000-strong crowd in the stadium went quiet while medics pumped the chest of the former Tottenham Hotspur man.
Sabrina Kvist, the player’s wife, descended from the stands weeping as some Danish players consoled her.
Eriksen was eventually carried out of the stadium on a stretcher with a defibrillator attached.

The midfielder was taken to the hospital where he was stabilised.
In a statement, UEFA said “a crisis meeting has taken place with both teams and match officials and further information will be communicated”.
Although the game was initially postponed, it resumed hours later and Finland beat Denmark 1-0.
The eventful match is the third game in the postponed European Championship.
