Yakubu Dogara, former speaker of the house of representatives, and Abdulmumin Jibrin, a lawmaker from Kano, are not among the members of the lower legislative chamber named as heads of committees.
Femi Gbajabiamila, the speaker, named heads of the house standing committees on Thursday.
This is even as nine additional committees have been set up, increasing the number from 96 to 105.
The setting up of the committees followed the adoption of the report by an ad-hoc committee reviewing the house standing order during plenary on Thursday.
