IOC says no blanket Olympics ban for Russia

Senior members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have voted to allow Russia attend the Olympic games.

Russia was about to be completely banned from participating at the Rio 2016 Olympic games, which starts on August 5,2016 in Rio for a “systematic and deliberate usage of banned drugs and substance”.

The IOC also ruled that the International Sports Federations will decide which Russian athletes are eligible and doping-free to participate in the games.
