Acting President Yemi Osinbajo and Olusegun Obasanjo, former president, are currently at a conference to discuss lessons of the Nigeria-Biafra war.
The war which lasted from 1967 to 1970 resulted in the death of about 1.5 million women and children who died of starvation.
The event tagged, ‘Biafra: 50 Years After’, is organised by the Shehu Musa Yar Adua Foundation to mark the 50th anniversary of the end of the war.
Some of the personalities present are Ahmed Joda, John Nnia Nwodo, Pat Utomi, Osita Chidoka, and Hakeem Baba Ahmed.

Obasanjo is at presently speaking on the reconciliation, reconstruction and rehabilitation initiatives introduced by the government of Yakubu Gowon after the war.
