The police command in Lagos has arrested the owner of the dogs that allegedly killed a security guard in the Pinnock beach estate in the Lekki area.
On Tuesday, a video of three dogs wandering freely over the lifeless body of a bloodied man went viral on social media.
The man, a security guard at the estate, was said to have been attacked by the dogs, that escaped from their owner’s property.
Benjamin Hundeyin, police spokesperson in Lagos, confirmed the incident and the arrest of the dog’s owner a few hours after the video went viral.

“Dog owner has been arrested and is in our custody,” the police spokesperson wrote on X alongside images of the provisions of the law on “manslaughter”.
