Nigerians protesting against police brutality have been attacked by thugs in Lagos state.
The attack happened at the Lagos state house of assembly gate in Ikeja, the state capital, on Thursday.
Across the country, there have been protests calling for the scrapping of the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) of the Nigeria police and a reform of the force.
The police unit was disbanded, but Nigerians are demanding the prosecution of all police officers involved in the abuse and killing of citizens.
