The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has introduced tax incentives to cushion the effects of COVID-19 on taxpayers.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected economies around the world, Nigeria inclusive.
In a statement on Friday, Zaid Abubakar, KADIRS executive secretary, said taxpayers subject to presumptive tax would enjoy a four-month grace period –June 1 to September 30, 2020 — to enable them recover from the effects of the lockdown.
“The Kaduna State Government is granting the incentives in accordance with Sections 95 (1) and 127 of the Kaduna State Tax (Codification and Consolidation) Law, 2016,” he said.
