Eminent personalities have been arriving Kano ahead of the coronation and presentation of staff of office to Muhammad Sanusi II, the 14th emir of Kano.
The event widely described as the “Century Great Coronation”, has made the ancient city to wear a new look.
Mailafia Sanka, special adviser to the state governor on Kano emirate council, told NAN in an interview on Friday, that arrangements for the event have been concluded.
“The state government has made special arrangements for the grand occasion as prominent personalities from all walks of life are expected to grace the coronation,” he said.

“The occasion will be held at the newly-constructed Coronation Hall located in the Government House.”
Two days after the death of Ado Bayero, the emirate of the kingdom, appointed Sanusi, the immediate past governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, as his successor and he has been presiding over the kingdom since June 8, 2014.
