The Kano state government has declared Friday as a public holiday to enable eligible voters obtain their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
This is contained in a statement by Damburan Nuhu, the state’s commissioner for information.
Noting that INEC will begin the distribution of the PVCs in all the registration points across the state on Friday, the statement also advised persons who had attained 18 years of age since the last exercise in 2011 to register during the Continuous Voters’ Registration (CVR) in the state.
According to NAN, INEC had announced that the distribution of permanent voter cards would commence in the state from November 7 to November 9.
