The Kano government has directed the restriction of movement on October 26 for the LGA election in the state.
The Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) will conduct elections in 44 LGAs.
In a statement on Friday, Baba Dantiye, the Kano state commissioner for information, said the restriction would be from midnight to 6pm on the day for peaceful and orderly conduct of the election.
Dantiye added that security agents have been deployed to enforce compliance.
