Ibrahim Murtala, a house of representatives member from Katsina state, has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Murtala who represents Musawa/Matazu federal constituency, decamped from the ruling party during plenary on Tuesday.
The lawmaker did not give his reasons for leaving the party, in his letter of defection read by Yakubu Dogara, speaker of the house.
