Keep calm, it is not your service provide acting up, WhatsApp, one of the world’s most popular instant messaging application, was down across the world.
The problem with the messaging application started about an hour ago, and affects countries in Africa, Europe, US, South America
According to Reuters, the managers of the application were aware of the problem and were working to fix it.
As at 11:30pm Nigerian time, the application was back up, after over one hour of disconnecting a better part of the modern world.
The popular application, owned by Facebook has over a billion users and is worth nearly $20 billion.
WhatsApp was unveiled in January 2009.
