Raila Odinga, Kenyan opposition leader, has called for a fresh rerun exercise, describing the repeat presidential election as a sham.
In an interview with The Associated Press, Odinga said the fresh exercise should be conducted within 90 days.
He said the low voter turnout in Thursday rerun is an indication that the process lacks validity.
Warning that Kenya is in “grave danger”, the opposition leader accused the government of President Uhuru Kenyatta of trying to “destroy other institutions of governance in our country,” including the supreme court.

Fox News had earlier quoted Odinga as saying he was open to dialogue with the Kenyatta camp about holding what he calls a free and fair election.
The supreme court had nullified the August 8 vote after finding what it called irregularities and illegalities in the process.
Odinga, who hailed the judgement, pulled out of the October rerun, alleging that the country’s Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, lacked credibility.

He also appealed to his supporters to boycott the exercise. At least one person was killed during the violence which marred the rerun.
