Interim coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi, is ruing the absence of some players due to injury, but he’s determined nonetheless to revive Nigeria’s quest in qualifying for AFCON 2015, starting with the games with Sudan.
Stoke City winger Victor Moses and midfielder Babatunde Michael are ruled out of Saturday’s game on account of injury but Keshi hopes the team does not suffer more injury problems ahead the must-win games.
“We pray that everybody would be in good health because that is very important. We have already lost two players now; I hope that would be the last,” he told AfricanFootball.
“We have put the past behind us. We are preparing ourselves against Sudan in Sudan. We are trying our best to prepare ourselves for success. Any team that is going out for a game prepare themselves to be victorious.

“Sometimes being third on the table doesn’t matter; it only challenges you more, makes you focus more and makes you more determined; and that is what we going to do.”
