Victor Moses has taken his omission from the Super Eagles’ squad in good faith, saying manager Stephen Keshi was right to have dropped him.
Keshi left Moses out of the squad to face Congo in Pointe Noire and South Africa in Uyo because the winger “is just coming back from injury and would not want to take any risks” on him.
Moses, who is now back playing, accepts the explanation of the Big Boss.
“There’s a reason why I’m not in it and the manager has said I’m just getting back from injury and he didn’t want to take the risk with me,” he told Stoke Sentinel.

“I think he was right to do that. I’m the sort of player who always wants to represent Nigeria, but I just need to make sure I get myself back to full fitness.”
Moses, who bundled home Stoke’s first (his first goal for the club) in last week’s 2-2 draw against West Ham, insists he has yet to reach his full potential after being forced to play catch-up following a summer of enforced inactivity at Chelsea.
“I still think there’s a lot to come from me because I didn’t have a pre-season, really,” the 23-year-old winger said.

“It’s just a matter of time before I get back to my very best again.”
Moses is expected to start Sunday’s Barclays Premier League clash with Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
