Barely 72 hours after a major collaboration announcement, Kiss Daniel, Nigeria’s Afro pop star, took to Twitter to reveal that he was involved in an auto crash.
On Saturday, January 10, Daniel took to his Twitter account to announce plans of a collaboration with fellow musician Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid.
But on Tuesday, he said that his car crashed into a canal at Lekki, the previous day.
Also involved in the crash was his producer DJ Coublon.

Warning against the use of mobile phones while driving, the musician appreciated the people who helped him out of the car.
The artiste began his musical career professionally in 2013, and has released six singles, winning eight awards.
He was recently nominated for the Next Rated Act award category of the Headies, but he lost to Mavin’s Reekado Banks.

Speaking on the award, the musician expressed disappointment at not winning the award.
“To be honest, it was quite heartbreaking to find out that I did not get the particular recognition I so much craved, but I am excited that it only means I need to work harder, and that 2016 will be a bigger year for me.”
He promised his fans a better year and a debut album in 2016.
“This year 2016 is going to be bigger and better; my debut album drops this year,” he said.
